Tivat
Tivat is coastal town and seat of the municipality of the same name in south-western part of Montenegro, which covers 46 km² and has a population of 16.338 inhabitants. It is situated in the central part of Bay of Kotor – one of the most beautiful bays in the world, surrounded by mountain Vrmac, and the sea.
There is the Porto Montenegro, an exclusive yacht marina with picturesque nautical village, as part of a full-service community of luxury apartments, shops, restaurants and other sports and entertainment amenities, which offer over 600 berths of all sizes.
There are two international airports in Montenegro:
– the Golubovci Airport in Podgorica, in the heart of the country, 90 km from Tivat,
– the Tivat Airport in Tivat, the Bay of Kotor, 3km from Tivat,
– also, Cilipi Airport in Dubrovnik, Croatia, 50 km from Tivat.
Main landmarks in Tivat:
- City Park (Navy Park): the biggest botanical garden in the South Adriatic encloses the space of 4ha;
- The Church of St. Sava: located in the city centre of the town, built in 1968;
- The Summer House Buca: located in the center of Tivat, a Renaissance-Gothic complex from the 14th century, nowdays art gallery, summer theatre, stage and cultural hub;
- The House Verona: located in an area called Racica, right on the seafront, built in the Gothic and Renaissance periods;

Main annual cultural and entertainment events in Tivat:
- Purgatorije Festival: Tivat’s main cultural event with theater, music, and performances, held in summer.
- Youth Day: cultural happening celebrating the former Yugoslavia, featuring nostalgic events, held on 25 May.
- Tivat Summer Fest: broad program of concerts, exhibitions, and performances, held in July/August.
- Bocce Olympiad: traditional event celebrating the spirit and sport of bocce, held in July/August.
- Fish & Wine Fest: gastro event of local food, wine, and music, held in summer.
