Durmitor National Park
Durmitor National Park located in northwestern Montenegro, under UNESCO World Heritage site, includes the Durmitor mountain massif, the canyons of the Tara, Draga, Susica Rivers and the highest part of the Komarnica canyon valley. It is famous for its dramatic limestone peaks, pristine glacial lakes, and the breathtaking Tara River Canyon.

Biogradska Gora National Park
Biogradska Gora National Park is home to one of Europe’s last three primeval forests. It features the beautiful Biogradsko Lake and ancient trees up to 500 years old.

Piva Nature Park is the country’s first established nature park, located in the northwest. It covers the gorgeous, turquoise Piva Lake reservoir, the deep Piva Canyon, and high mountain pastures leading up to the Durmitor massif.

Dragisnica and Komarnica Nature Park
Dragisnica and Komarnica Nature Park is a protected mountainous reserve in northern Montenegro covering 2,994 hectares. Established in 2017 in the Savnik Municipality, it sits tucked right against the southern border of Durmitor National Park. This dramatic landscape features deep-cut limestone river canyons, glacial valleys, primeval forests, and hidden caves harboring rare subterranean wildlife.

Komovi Nature Park
Komovi Nature Park is a massive, high-altitude reserve in northeastern Montenegro covering 20,210 hectares. Established across 2015–2019, the park spans the territories of three municipalities: Podgorica, Andrijevica, and Kolasin. It protects one of the most rugged and visually striking alpine mountain massifs in the entire Dinaric Alps system.
